A small selection of collage work that I've been commissioned for.
Design concept: Reflect the diversity of the students teaching methods and facilities of Minnesota Public Schools. I was given a large number of photographs that had been taken in schools around Minnesota and I selected the ones that best reflected the design concept.
Project details: Designed as seamless artwork then divided into sections for printing on panels of a Mirage Serpentine Unit. Measures 23' x 7'.
Design concept:
Focal point for a plaza-style tribute to Porky's Drive-In which was located at the corner of Lynnhurst and University Avenue until April of 2011. Episcopal Homes (who purchased Porky's and extended their facilities on to its former location) was looking to honor the history of not only Porky's but the car culture of University Avenue. From left to right the panels are a historic timeline of car related businesses and popular landmarks along the Avenue starting in the early 1900's (left) and ending in 2011 (right.)
Project details: Artwork was screenprinted on glass and sandwiched between two panels for weather resistance and protection against potential vandalism. Total railing measurement of approximately 46'.
Design concept:
Promote cycling and outdoor sports in Minnesota. Collage proposal was imagery of trails and highlights through out Minnesota that transitioned from the south to the north with Minneapolis (and Bokoo Bikes) as the center.
Project details: Printed on vinyl graphic and measuring 28' x 5'.
Design concept: Based off of my Viva Las Vegas location collage, create two collages with classic Las Vegas themes to be airbrushed on the guitars by Dan Lawrence of GMP Guitars in San Dimas, California.
Project details: Was provided with a PDF of the body design of the guitar (as it's a custom model specifically for Matthias Jabs) to create the collage to ensure it would wrap appropriately and accommodate the knobs and pickups .
